Where did you grow up?
We moved a lot. I lived in Billerica until I was 10. We moved to Salem, New Hampshire, for 2 years and then moved again to Maynard where I lived until I graduated high school.
What was your first job?
I worked at Woolworth’s. Wow that ages me . . . LOL!
What’s your history in the moving and storage industry?
I went to college for accounting and finance. I started working at Mark’s Moving in 1996 in Accounts Receivable. I had never worked in this industry prior to working here. In the past 25 years, I have grown with the company and have added many new responsibilities. I have learned a lot about the industry and have met some wonderful people along the way.
Favorite part of the job?
The feeling of being part of a family. I wear a lot of hats here, but the employees, customers and vendors add even more joy.
How do you spend your time when not working?
I love spending time with family and friends. I love to read. And the beach is my “happy/tranquil” place.
What sports teams do you root for?
Woo Sox, Red Sox and Patriots.
What motivates you?
People, especially my family and friends. Watching others and learning from them and their achievements gives me reason and a challenge to succeed myself.
Favorite food?
This is a tough one. I am far from a fussy eater, but I would have to say that it is a tie between seafood and Italian.
Favorite book or movie?
I have two favorite movies: Dirty Dancing and Grease. I don’t have a favorite book, but I tend to read mysteries and crime books.
What would your friends say is your best quality?
Honesty and loyalty.
