Marks Moving & Storage is proud to announce the acquisition of the assets of Milford-based Grandma’s Attic Moving.
“We look forward to helping all of Grandma’s Attic Moving customers from the past, present and future,” said Mark E. Silverman, Mark’s Moving President and CEO.
The Grandma’s Attic business initially focused on warehousing and selling used furniture and antiques. Following a boom in residential developments, Ross, the company’s founder, saw a need for moving services. He began Grandma’s Attic Moving in 1978.
Ross grew up in the Boston area, learning the moving business from his Uncle Jack Wadness, owner of Back Bay Movers. Ross’s son, Ed (pictured above), has worked for Mark’s Moving since 2017 and will now manage Grandma’s Attic Moving from its new home.
Said the younger Ross: “I’m looking forward to combining the great service my father offered at Grandma’s Attic Moving with the unlimited options and 100 percent customer satisfaction that Mark’s Moving provides every day.”
