Volunteers for the Brookline Center assemble the baskets each year as part of its Hand in Hand program and give them to those in need. Mark’s Moving donates labor and transportation to help the center move the baskets from the Brookline Teen Center where they are assembled to a storage area where they await distribution.
“We’re honored to be part of this great tradition each year,” said Mark Silverman, president and CEO of Mark’s Moving. “The Brookline Center and its many volunteers do an incredible job helping women in need.”
More than 100 volunteers helped prepare the baskets last month, stuffing them with gifts such as lotions, soaps, gift cards and candles.
“All of us experience times in our lives when we could use some extra support,” according to the Brookline Center. The Hand in Hand program helps “spread some love and remind women in need that they are surrounded by a community that cares.”
Mark’s Moving is a regular supporter of local charities and non-profit organizations.
