Mark’s Moving & Storage recently provided a drop-off station and transportation for donations made to Cradles to Crayons in Boston, helping the charity serve more than 20,000 local children living in low-income and homeless situations.
“We are honored to partner with Cradles to Crayons each year,” said Mark Silverman, president and CEO of Mark’s Moving. “Their work is critical and we’re happy to help their cause.”
Cradles to Crayons provides essential items – such as clothing and books – to children up to age 12. Each year, the charity enlists grade-school students to help collect these items.
As it did last year, Mark’s Moving provided a convenient and local drop-off station for the donations. The company also contributed the labor and transportation needed to bring those donations to Cradles to Crayons for distribution.
Mark’s Moving & Storage is a regular supporter of local charities and non-profit organizations. Most recently, the company sponsored a fundraiser for cancer patients, partnered with Needham Youth and Family Services for “Make a Statement Day” and donated up to $10,000 of moving and storage services for Jewish Family & Children’s Services.
The company is also a major supporter of the Mark’s Northeastern Furniture Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Silverman to help provide furniture to those in need.
