Mark’s Moving & Storage, Inc. is pleased to have served as a Cradles to Crayons donation drop-off location. The company helped the Boston-based charity last month collect clothing and footwear for thousands of local children.
Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth to age 12, living in low-income and homeless situations, with essential items. Each year, the charity enlists grade-school students to help collect these items and Mark’s Moving provided them a convenient and local drop-off station for donations.
With the support of Mark’s Moving, “this incredible statewide service initiative would not be possible,” said Michael Scottberg, a Cradles to Crayons representative, noting the company’s continued participation, flexibility and willingness to “help all kids reach their potential.”
This donation drive led to more than 14,000 children in low-income and homeless situations receiving a week’s worth of high quality clothing and footwear that, according to Cradles to Crayons, “they can wear with dignity.”
“Cradles to Crayons is a great program and provides a tremendous service to our communities,” said Mark Silverman, CEO and president of Mark’s Moving. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to help their efforts.”
About Cradles to Crayons: Cradles to Crayons collects new and nearly new children’s items through grassroots community drives and corporate donations. Donations are then processed and packaged by volunteers, and are distributed to disadvantaged children across the state through a collaborative network of social service agencies and school partners.
